Biographies

The students read one more biography today.  Tomorrow they start working on their two or three day assignment.  This assignment will test their ability to make personal connections with the biographies they read.  Also, they will be tested on their ability to write a summary and to compare and contrast two people's lives.  I look forward to finding out everything they learned over the past two weeks about the people they read stories about.  I am treating this like an assessment for them.  In the picture below, Brayden is holding the book he read during class today.  It was about a woman name Irena who saved many jewish children during the time of the Nazis.
