Line Plot Math

Below is a problem the students were asked to solve today.  Some students were able to finish it completely.  Others will finish solving this problem on Monday.

A shoe manufacturer wants to know the lengths to the nearest half-inch of third graders’ feet.  What information could your class send to them, and how can you organize it to answer their questions like, “Are the lengths spread out evenly, or clumped around certain numbers”?  What value appears the most in the data?
