Purchasing Supplies

During math class we discussed the difference between debt and profit.  Also, we talked about various items that we could sell at our store and how much money from our budget that we should spend on them.  After some discussion we made some decisions.  Two students from our class and two students from Mrs. Mair's class worked with my wife, Melissa, on purchasing some items for our store.  They tried to find the best deal.  They had to determine how much money each individual pencil, eraser, etc would cost us to buy, so we can price them reasonably.   The photo below is of this small group.  Eventually each student will get the opportunity to take part in purchasing of items for the store.
