Science
The students were put into groups of three for science. They were given a task to figure out how many marbles were in a blue film canister, green film canister, and an orange film canister. They were told they could only use an empty film canister, one marble, unifex cubes, and a balance to solve this problem. Before they could begin using the objects listed above, each group had to write a plan of action. After they shared their plan of action with an adult, they were then allowed to physically use the objects to solve the problem. Tomorrow they will find out how many marbles are actually in each of these different colored film canisters. It was fun to watch them communicate with each other. This class is full of great problem solvers.
