Tall Tales

Today I asked the students in my class about tall tales.  They had trouble answering my question, so I sent them to a Paul Bunyan video on youtube.  Tomorrow I will have them watch a short John Henry video.  Then I will ask them to write down what they feel a tall tale is.  As a class we will finally make a final list of what makes a story a tall tale.  After doing this students will start to work on their reading fluency by reading tall tale scripts in small groups.  The link below will send you to the video the students watched on youtube today.
