Rocks and Minerals

Today we started our rocks and minerals science unit.  The students wrote down everything they knew about rocks.  Then they wrote down any questions they had about rocks that they would like to have answers by the end of this unit.  Finally they were given three different rocks to observe and write down different properties about each of them.  Their last step was to make any generalizations they could think of about all three rocks.
