Here are some fraction problems the students worked on today for math.

Name some fractions above that are equivalent.  Explain how you know they are equivalent or equal to one another.

Make up your own fraction that is equivalent to one of the fractions above.

Make a picture showing 9/4.

⅓ of these elephants are males.  How many male elephants are there?  How many female elephants?

If this is only ¼ of the elephant herd, how many elephants belong to this particular herd?
